JOURNEY LEVEL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
First Through Fourth Period Review
Course Objective:
To provide the journey level surveyor with a renewed foundation in surveying basics in order to satisfactorily proceed to the journey level portion of the apprenticeship program leading to graduate Chief of Party status.
Rules, Regulations And Selection Procedures:
- Applicants for the Journey Level Upgrade Training Program shall as a prerequisite be tested for placement and such testing shall become the requirement of any topic.
- Attendance: Each journey level upgrade individual shall attend required related training classes one night per week. A "present" attendance credit will only be obtained when the individual arrives on time at the beginning of the class session and stays for the full length of the class session which is a minimum of three (3) hours in length. Any individual who arrives late or leaves early will only be given credit for actual time spent in class. You will be required to make up any shortage of hours.
- Each journey level upgrade individual must attend their related training class session each week. Training class hours must be related to topics and missed hours made up. Lack of attendance or continued progress shall cause dismissal from the program for
a one (1)
year period.
- If a journey level upgrade individual is absent from class, they will notify the Administrative Office in writing of the events which occurred causing the absence. With the exception of military
duty or prolonged medical needs, all absences must be made up prior to acceptance into the Journey Level Apprenticeship Program.
- Each journey level upgrade individual shall maintain required progress at Related Training Classes on a weekly basis. Required progress must be as specified on the Related Training Schedule of each period of training.
- Applicant shall purchase necessary text books.
- Applicant may remain in class for a one (1) year period from the date of the agreement at the discretion of the NCSJAC.
- Applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
